Photo Monday – Easter At Rockefeller

On Easter Sunday, after the egg hunt and breakfast, we decided to go into the city.  Part of 5th Avenue was closed off and some people were all dressed up in vintage styles or crazy outfits complete with amazing hats.  We thought the girls would like that.  But then, I noticed a beautiful egg at Rockefeller Center.  I went to take a closer look and saw another one.  And another one.  And another one…  All the way around the skating rink.  I gave up trying to get pictures of them all.  It was too crowded and besides, who wants to see picture upon picture of dozens of eggs?  These are my personal favorites.

This next one is just for Ajaire’s daughter.  I couldn’t help thinking of her when I saw this egg and I had to get a shot of it.  A full one so she could bask in the multitude of pandas…

And now, a few for the textile addicts among us.  You know who you are!  (Yeah, that would be me…)

Now look a little more closely at them…

Aren’t they amazing?  That red one with the buttons and the pins making up the flowers!  And the texture of that material (looks like suede or something)…  Love…

I know, not an egg.

Next week will be the last batch of Easter pictures.  Central Park!

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
