Me Made May – Week 4

me-made-may'14

I can hardly believe it’s almost over!  I thought this would be so hard for me since I haven’t made myself a lot of clothes.  It’s been surprisingly easy.  In fact, I actually managed to wear my own stuff 6 days this week (two were the Juniper pants and I never got around to taking a picture).  It’s also been quite the learning experience. More on that when I do the wrap up…

Day 1: A repeat.  I love this top.

Day 2: Another repeat.  Sense a theme here?

Day 3: A new one! The one I blogged two days ago.  My hair was looking pretty that day if I do say so myself…

Day 4: And another repeat…  This dress was perfect for the hot and humid weather.  I did notice something not so fun and you can see it a little on the picture.  It seems the rayon slub jersey stretched out a little more than the bamboo jersey I used for the lining so there’s a bit of a bubble near the waist.  It’s not too much but it’s also exactly why I tried so hard to get the lining cut out of the same material as the rest of the dress…

And the sewing?  Thanks to a pattern test I’m doing, I’ll have my 5.  Maybe even 6 if I can squeeze in an easy dress…

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
