You either go outside or hurry up and take those pictures that require tons of light.
These tulips were actually taken right after the pictures for the greenery outfit. I love taking close ups of flowers but not having a specialty flash or dependable tripod means that I need a lot of sunlight to get crisp images. Especially when I get the picture from under the flower.
These two were taken in Prospect Park. We went to get some of that glorious sunlight in the park on Sunday. Judging by the crowds, so did most of Brooklyn…
I wanted to bring both my macro lens and the wide angle zoom but I couldn’t fit both in my bag. I chose the macro because, at this early point in Spring, most of the landscape is still brown and grey. The macro lets me focus on the green. And purple.
And the turtles, all in rows, sunning themselves. I know there are tree branches in the way but we can’t access that part of the park. It’s reserved for wildlife. This was the best I could do. And I seriously cropped the picture to make them more obvious.
I’m so hopeful Spring has finally come. I’m ready to see more color!
