Photo Monday – Apple Picking

This was one of those rare weekends where we had no plans. So we made some and went apple picking. I had my macro lens on from last week so I kept it. It can be helpful when the girls aren’t being cooperative. I can be a little further and still get a nice close up with good background blurring.

M noticed some flowers and thought they were apple blossoms. They weren’t.

We took 3 kinds of apples this time and they’re all mixed up in the bags. M wanted them kind of organized but V wasn’t having it. We noticed different colors and color patterns on them when we were there but I’d be willing to bet that we can’t tell them apart anymore. We got Crimson Crisp, Empire, and Jonathan. I think that’s the order of the pictures too. Not sure.

They’re all supposedly good for eating raw and for baking so I suppose it doesn’t matter which is which. Time to get cooking, right?

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?

How fun! I love apple season, although I’ve never been apple picking.

    • I love apple picking! It’s more expensive than just buying apples at the store though. I guess the orchard needs to account for loss of produce (lots of perfectly good apples end up unpicked or are left to rot on the ground).
