Last week, I shared the pictures featuring raindrops. This week, it’s the rest of them. They’re a bit more of a random assortment.
At this point in the season, the trees aren’t so full of leaves that you can’t see the birds and squirrels anymore. So I tried to get a few. There isn’t as much variety in bird species around our apartment as can be found just a few blocks further in Prospect Park. If I had the equipment, I bet I could get some gorgeous shots there. There are red-tailed hawks in the park and I would love a good picture of one. But I wasn’t there.
On the bird picture, you can see a bit of the brownstone behind it. I love the buildings in this neighborhood. The ironwork, the decorative features, the doors… There’s always something to discover.
I haven’t been able to do the local architecture justice yet but I keep trying. I’ll hopefully get there someday. I want my photographs to reflect the love I have for my neighborhood. How can I share my joy at hearing the birds in the trees through a picture? My appreciation for the trees that line the streets, providing a home for those birds and welcome shade in the Summer? The loudness of the birds when they’re perched on your window?
WordPress.comenvoyé : 13 mai 2019 à 14:03de : Deux souriceaux <comment-reply@wordpress.com>à : herve_lelievre@orange.frobjet : [New post] Photo Monday – Neighborhood deuxsouriceaux posted: "Last week, I shared the pictures featuring raindrops. Merci beaucoup! Ça fait du bien d’apprendre que j’arrive quand même à rendre un peu de mon bonheur d’habiter ici.
