That first time I went out in the snow this winter, I had the wide angle lens on. There were birds everywhere and I couldn’t get a decent picture. Since then, I’ve been using my telephoto lens. Since then, there haven’t been any birds. Not even when I went this week, late afternoon.
Instead, I saw a bunch of snow boulders. They might have been decapitated snowmen. However, I couldn’t find the tops on the ground where they would have been. It felt like remnants of an ancient civilization…
Maybe next time, I’ll tell myself I’m taking pictures of dogs and there will be birds…
