Photo Monday – Cape Cod

Hello!  We just got back from our two week vacation.  One week and Cape Cod and one week in Montreal and Ottawa visiting family.  Beware, this one is photo heavy.  I went a little photo happy in Cape Cod…  This is a small selection from the small selection I made on Flickr.  Feel free to check it out

We had a cute little house on the beach in Sandwich.  I thought I wasn’t a beach person.  Turns out I’m not a public beach person.  I’m quite happy on my own little private beach!  Mr.  Mouse and the souricettes were also happy as clams.

We enjoyed playing in the water…

…looking for rocks and seashells…

…and displaying them artfully.

The souricettes enjoyed playing in the sand…

…and playing in the rocks…

…except when someone wasn’t happy!

Mr. Mouse and I enjoyed walks on the beach with the souricettes who didn’t quite agree with our idea of a fun activity.

For a change of pace, we went to see the village.  Sandwich is a really lovely village.

And we took a walk in the forrest (souricette 1 was not happy about that).

While Mr. Mouse relaxed mostly with a book, I photographed everything.  I of course got a sunset shot…

…but what I really really wanted was the sunrise.  And I got it.

Twice.

In fact, I watched the sun rise 5 of the 7 mornings.  I was even there before the sun.

And I got mildly obsessed with capturing dew drops glistening in the morning light.

You can’t tell in the picture but I was sad when we had to leave after saying goodbye to the sea…

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
