Souricette 1 is learning to ride a bike. She isn’t very advanced because cycling just isn’t something we do as a family. I prefer walking. In fact, I don’t even own a bicycle. It has been slooooow going. But yesterday…
Breakthrough!
She is now able to pedal on her own. With training wheels and very slowly. Souricette 2 runs faster than souricette 1 pedals in fact. But she’s pedaling. And increasing her speed. If you’d been with us from the beginning of this adventure, you would know what a big deal this is.
Souricette 2 hasn’t mastered her tricycle yet but she had fun running, moving her tricycle around and putting on her helmet.
We’re thinking of getting her a balance bike.
We’re very lucky to live a stone’s throw from souricette 1’s school. The asphalt was redone this Summer so it’s perfectly smooth. Great for learning! Hopefully, we’ll get to go on a more regular basis and she will pick up speed and confidence. And if we’re extremely lucky, the training wheels will come off by the end of the school year. Yeah, not holding my breath…
