I took photos this week! This weekend was the New York State Sheep and Wool festival in Rhinebeck. Or just Rhinebeck for short. Ever since we moved here, we try to go (we’ve missed it once in the 4 years we’ve lived here). We go for me but Mr. Mouse and the souricettes don’t hate it. They’re not crazy about the part where I shop for yarn, roving, spindles… Mr. Mouse likes… ummm… I’m not sure actually. I just know he doesn’t absolutely hate it. The girls like the animals. The festival has a little zoo where they got to see lemurs, kangaroos, goats, a rabbit, and a turtle. They liked that but the sheep and alpacas are where it’s at!
We saw some sheep judging. It looked like a dog show but with sheep. A mama sheep won. Someone was holding her lamb up to her and she was nuzzling and licking it. They put the blue ribbon around the lamb’s neck. Some people were walking some sheep around and souricette 1 and I pet one. So soft! Souricette 2 was too scared to touch him but she made up for it later…
I tried to get some pretty fall foliage pictures with the girls but neither one of them was very cooperative.
And what did I get? Watch my Instagram spot (on the right over there…) to find out!
I love reading your comments! I will try to respond to every single one.
