Just gotta go off posting schedule this week!
Monday was day 1 of KCW and I made leggings for both souricettes.
The fabric is cotton jersey and the pattern is from the Sewing Modkid Style book. I sized up and made them longer and they ended up a little bit baggy. I’ll be trying the pattern again but I’ll use something with some lycra/spandex content. They’re comfortable at least. Souricette 1 says they feel like pajamas. Hmmmm, matching T-shirts to turn them into actual pajamas?
Day 2, Tuesday, was actually more productive. I was anxious to get one nightgown done. Here.
I used a cute green on green polka dot cotton interlock and narrow stretch lace. She loves it! Tip: once the stretch lace is applied, do not press on that side of the fabric with a hot iron. Guess how I figured that one out…
And then, I really wanted to work on the Jalie tunic. I thought it would take me forever because it has a bunch of pieces but it went together like a dream. And I love it so much!
Seriously, I think it will be my favorite project of the week. It all just worked together wonderfully. Great pattern! And souricette 1 loves it too. She’s only pouting because she wanted to wear it as a dress and it’S too short for that. I may have to make her a second one in a dress length… Oh, fabric: the white is cotton interlock and the print is cotton jersey. The interlock has more body which makes it great for the collar, cuffs and belt.
I got the interlock at fabric.com and the jersey at Girl Charlee. Both the argyle and damask are super soft.
And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some more sewing to do. Still one or two more items to be made with white thread before I switch the serger to brown or black…
I love that tunic! It was a quick sew? Nice! I bought some struggle from GirlCharlie, very soft too. 🙂

Thank you! Yes, it was so quick to sew. I was surprised because I’m usually quite slow and there are a lot of pattern pieces. I think the serger helped speed things up but still…
