Photo Monday – The Birthday

Souricette 1 turned 6 years old yesterday.  We had a big surprise in store for her and I had planned on taking pictures.  It turns out that American Girl Place is very busy on Sundays.  I never took any pictures because of that.  I could maybe have taken a picture of the tree at Rockefeller center but do you have any idea how many people were there?  As early as he has to get up in the morning, I sometimes envy Mr. Mouse for getting to see 5th avenue before 7AM, before anyone is out.  At noon on a Sunday?  Plenty of people.  I settled for a picture of the birthday cake.  Made by Mr. Mouse, inspired by the movie Frozen, both souricettes latest obsession…

In 2007, the Winter solstice was on December 22nd.  Souricette 1 came that day and since then, I’ve taken to calling her my light on the darkest day.  She’s quiet, gentle, creative and sensitive.  A very sweet little girl.  She truly is a beautiful light.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
