KCW Wrap Up

kid's clothes week

The hardest part of KCW for me is getting the pictures.  Witness.

She loves her new outfit, I swear!  She just wasn’t feeling cooperative for a photoshoot and I needed to get pictures before it got irreparably stained…

The top is the Carousel.  So sweet with the gathers and keyhole in the back.  It’s a bit big but she’ll grow into it.  The material is cotton jersey that souricette 2 picked out at Joann Fabrics.  Not exactly my kind of pink but she loved it so I bought a yard.  She was sick the day I cut it out but she was so happy to see me using her fabric!

For the bottom, I made a skort from the Go To Leggings pattern.  Souricette 2 will only wear skirts and dresses but she’s getting to that age where flashing her undies just isn’t appropriate.  So a skort.  I also made plain old leggings for her big sister (not pictured).  So souricette 2 wasn’t happy about having short leggings until we showed her how she actually had a skirt.  Now she loves it…  The fabric is the same cotton/spandex jersey as the one I used for her cat outfit.  I got it from Girl Charlee and I really like it.  Not all of my purchases from there have been successful (I have some ponte that pilled something fierce in next to no time) but this stuff is lovely.  It’s nice and thick and has worn well (the cat outfit leggings have been worn and washed a lot).  Definitely recommend this one.

And that’s a wrap!  See you next KCW!
