Yep, a recap post! It’s been said, I know, but I enjoy the quiet reflection that comes at the end of the year. Looking back at my posts, I see all I did this past year and I’m amazed. This is the year I plunged. The year I pushed myself, sometimes a little too much. The year I said yes as often as I could.
This was my year to sew along every single week of Project Run & Play. The creative challenge and the community are the best. That’s a total of 12 outfits this year! Click through each and every link to see them all (or not)…
This was the year I started testing patterns. I loved it, really truly loved it. It feels like a real, positive contribution. Each time I see one of the patterns I tested or the pattern’s designer have some success, I feel proud of them. It makes me happy, feeling like I contributed my teeny tiny drop to their success. (So many links to put up!)
This was my year to start sewing and knitting for me. Just for me. The year I told myself I was worthy of having well fitting clothes that make me happy. Browsing through my archives, looking for pictures and links, there are so many! I never realized how much I made for myself this year. It’s certainly been quite the learning experience! Here are some of my favorites...
This was the year I got to contribute to Flip This Pattern! It was such an honor to be asked.
And finally, this is the year I started thinking and talking about ethics in the fashion and textile industries. It’s still a big tangle in my head but I’ve tried to take positive action. I’ve greatly reduced my fabric and clothing consumption, including my girls’, and I’ve published a few shopping guides. Hoping to do more in the future…
This was the year I said yes to myself.
Love your Joji Knits sweater! Looks like that would’ve taken a loooong time to knit. Happy new year!

Thank you! It took a while to knit because I got interrupted but once I decided I had to have it for Rhinebeck, it was remarkably quick. Happy New Year to you too!
