Photo Monday – Father’s Day

It’s been a long time since I’ve done portraits.  I wanted to try my hand at some father-daughter ones.  In black and white because then, I don’t need to worry about the colors clashing.  Result? I need some practice.  Family photographers make it look so easy.  It’s hard!

We started outside.  I found some open shade and put them there.

Very natural smile there, V (that would be souricette 2).

So I told them that I wanted pictures of them acting crazy.  Apparently, that’s done in the bedroom.  So there we went (and up went the ISO).

You know what?  One of their favorite games is “picky nose”.  They try to catch either other and pretend stick their fingers in each other’s noses.  Great pictures there… (Yes, that’s sarcasm. Except for the one below which is actually cute.)

And then, guess what?  Someone got hurt!  I know, I know, you are so surprised.  Someone got thrown onto the bed.  She actually loved that part.  The part she didn’t love was rebounding right off the bed and onto the floor.  Cuddles were in order…

I took them back outside because, seriously.  Picky nose pictures? I don’t think so.  But by then, both girls were tired and totally done with acting crazy and picture taking.

I’ll keep trying, I will.  But no more picky nose.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
