Yep. Still that Jalie 3352 pattern. Last one, I promise! For now at least…
I always knew I wanted to sew this up for E. It’s perfect for her! It hits all her musts in an everyday top: sleeve length, comfort, neckline… And I like that the extra length in the back will cover her when she chooses to wear leggings as pants. (I’m not up to fighting that battle. Besides, leggings are awesome for an active child. Close to the body so there’s no fabric getting in the way of acrobatics on the monkey bars but stretchy so not restrictive at all.)
I made a size J for E. She’s a smallish 7 year old. I think her chest measurement pur her in a smaller size but you know, room to grow…
And check out my stripe matching again!
The fabric is another one of the stripes from this imaginegnats bundle. This one was more substantial but not too thick. (The wrinkles are due to me not folding it right, leaving it under other items, and not giving it a steam before pictures.) Perfect for a top. Again, I’m not sure of the composition but it felt like a cotton-spandex mix. The color wasn’t quite me but just right for E. And I might have enough left for a little something for V! A tank top maybe. Yeah, that’ll wait…
I love it when it’s hard to find the seam because the stripes match so well! E looks pretty happy with her new shirt. =)

She loves it! And yes, I feel so proud when my stripes/patterns match perfectly. I almost want a big neon sign pointing at the item saying I made it!
