I’m not going to lie. That sweater project was exhausting. Here I was knitting along, ideas for future sweaters swarming in my head (like a pretty merino raglan sweater for E, with a knitted lace overlay on front and back). And then the sewing got to me. The idea of making some more sweater knit just to struggle with the finishing again took away all my motivation. Especially if I was going to fight against the knitting machine when making the lace as well…
So what does one do when that happens? Quick, easy project! I haven’t had time to do more than print it out and cut the fabric but I’m hoping to get most of it done today.
So what is it? The Moss Skirt by Grainline Studio. Using up the last of the denim from my jeans. And yes, that’s some leftover Wonder Woman fabric for my pocket linings. It’s so satisfying to use up a remnant, especially on something I know will get tons of wear. And it’s so relaxing, knowing that everything will sew up just fine. No stretching out, serger finishing will be perfect… Just what I needed.
