We put our Christmas tree up! I wanted to get up close with the macro lens but it was darkish already. I couldn’t get good focus on the branches so I’ll try again some other day. But I did use my tripod!!! I know some of these will look a little bit out of focus or like there’s camera shake but that’s not the case. I used a pretty shallow depth of field. Like so.
The focus is on the edge of the ornament (the camera was trying to focus right through the center so I moved it to the edge).
And on this next one, there were some branches quite a bit closer to the lens and so there’s some massive blur from them.
Apart from that top picture, all the glass ornaments were decorated by the girls last year. The one above has melted glitter crayon inside (I burned my fingers making those). This one, I think is painted inside.
Oh! This ornament is one that belonged to M’s grandmother.
And this one we picked up in Belgium. I like that you can see another of the melted crayon ones in that background!
