Photo Monday – Macro Winter

I was planning on going out to practice my photography a whole lot more than I actually did when I visited my parents.  I just couldn’t muster the energy.  That and the sun refused to come out a single time.  It’s so pretty when it sparkles on the snow and ice… But I did go out twice.  Once with the 50mm lens and once with the macro lens. I just roamed my parents’ property and snapped whatever looked interesting until my feet got cold (I did have boots but not the Sorel ones which would have worked better).

Birch trees were my favorite leafy tree when I was a child.  I loved their white bark that peels off.

From far, these flowers look like butterflies.

I cheated on this one.  I was inside when I took it because I couldn’t get the angle right from outside (the icicles are hanging from a window).  It took me forever to get a good shot of that drop.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
