Photo Monday – Finding Spring

The girls wanted to take their bikes out yesterday so we went to Prospect Park.  I just grabbed my camera and went.  In retrospect, I think I should have taken the macro lens rather than the 50mm but I was in a hurry so…

At first glance, I wasn’t sure I’d find anything bright and pretty.  This is what the landscape mostly looks like.

I actually like muted landscapes like this but after months of them, I’m craving some color! Thankfully, there were a few trees in bloom…

And crocuses!

I’ve always loved those small flowers.

They’re like small patches of happiness! Still, I can’t wait for the leaves to start coming out.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
