But nope. No smiles.
You would think she hates it, right? She doesn’t. She wanted to get the pictures done as fast as possible so she could wear it right away (I finished it Thursday and she wore it yesterday).
The printed fabric is the one she liked at Liberty of London. Same rayon/lycra jersey as V’s heart fabric. The grey is a cotton/lycra blend remnant that I’ve had for ages. I think I got it from Girl Charlee? I used Jalie 2793, unmodified. I’ve made it for E before and she liked it. I told her I was going to make it again and she approved. I even made the same size! I usually size up to give her some growing room but just went with her chest size this time. Possibly Definitely feeling too lazy to trace another size… I went with the gathered front and the cap sleeve. It’s been so hot lately that I couldn’t even think of doing the longer sleeve. I did straight stitch hems again without any issues.
And that’s really all there is to it! Straightforward sew with a wonderful fabric and a happy child.
I swear she’s happy.
