Photo Monday – Rhinebeck

We all went to Rhinebeck for the weekend.  It was the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival (yes, it’s a mouthful) and I just have to go every year.  Usually, we only do a day trip but this year was different.  I have a bunch of knitting friends who all have children the same age as V (the group formed when we were all pregnant).  I’ve met a few them in person before but this year, a whole bunch of them managed to make it to Rhinebeck.  Exciting! So we booked a full weekend.  Of course, I was too busy chatting to take pictures so the only portraits I got are sheep.

I also managed to see a friend that I don’t get to see much anymore now that we’re in Brooklyn.  She lives in Rhinebeck and she had some time for us on Sunday morning.  (Yay!) We had breakfast at Bread Alone (yummy), went for a short hike/walk, and I showed her around the festival.  And, uh yeah, instead of people, I got pretty Rhinebeck scenery.

And I’m lucky I have these.  My camera was working fine on Saturday but on Sunday, the lens refused to focus.  It was stuck in one spot so only the landscapes worked.  I’ll have to see about getting it fixed (please cross your finger that it actually can be fixed!)

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
