Photo Monday – Wilting Flowers

M bought me flowers this week and they were so pretty.  I took me a few days to get a picture though and they were almost all wilted.  I think it’s because we didn’t put them next to a window.  Anyway, I brought them next to a window to get some sunlight on them and snapped away.

The sunflowers were the happiest of the bunch…

This macro photography kick I’m on (partly due to my 50mm lens being in the shop for repairs) has been fascinating.  Yes, flowers are beautiful but when you look more closely, there are all these details I’d never noticed before.  Little hairs on leaves, traces of pollen, little hooks…  There are pictures that aren’t good enough to share that I still keep because they show something unique like that.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?

Wow. I’m in love with the first sunflower close-up. Do you sell your work, Raphaelle?

    • Thank you so much! I don’t sell my work because I think it wouldn’t blow up well. Some of them just aren’t sharp enough to do well in a larger size. I really need to get off my butt and improve that aspect of my photography.
