After not getting out for pictures of the freshly fallen snow last week, it’s like nature gave me second chance. It snowed a bit on Friday and I went to Prospect Park Saturday morning. Should have gone earlier in the day but was feeling lazy. By the time I got going, the Sun was hidden behind the clouds. Makes for a practically black and white scene…
It hasn’t been very cold so the ice is very thin everywhere. I noticed these cracks in it that I’ve never seen before. The small round ones, I imagine are from something falling on the ice…
I made my way through the woods to the boathouse and then all the way to the skating rink (V was just finishing up her class).
I headed back home after a quick hello. They were taking the subway and I was walking. I didn’t want them to wait for me too long. I got there first after all… I found where the ducks and geese were hanging out on my way back.
And the Sun came out.
How pretty!! I love the two of the cracks in the ice, and that archway!

Thank you! Prospect Park has gorgeous arches and bridges. I’m still wondering how those cracks happened. They fascinated me.
