Photo Monday – Flowers Again

M got me flowers on Friday. I said thank you and told him that chocolate was what was needed so he went and got me a brownie. Good man. Anyway, I was busy cooking dinner when he got home with the flowers so I didn’t get a chance to get a good look at them until later. When I did look at them, I knew they were worth a few pictures. Macro lens because of course. I didn’t put the flash on because lazy and I had some lovely light.

Daisy type flowers galore. I love them. They’re unpretentious but so colorful and pretty.

Then there were cute little roses that smelled lovely. Roses aren’t usually my favorite but these were just the perfect touch of luxury.

And finally, maybe my favorite. Something that looks like thistle but may not be thistle because I am so not a botanist. I’ve never seen these in a bouquet before. They had a slightly prickly look that contrasted with the softness of the other flowers, especially the roses.

Oh, there were some lilies too but they weren’t quite open yet. My guess is they’ll open just as the roses start fading. I’ll have to watch for them…

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
