We had a lovely weekend, warmer than it’s been and we did manage to see some sunlight. Of course, there’s snow falling this morning… I forced my kids to go out for walks both days because I wanted the exercise and fresh air. They got to spend time at the playground for their troubles. On Saturday, I took my camera with me, with the macro lens because only the small flowers are out.
These first two are from Prospect Park.
These little red flowers that kinda look alien? They’re in bunches on a tree so that the tree looks like it’s covered in red balls. It’s really pretty and unique.
The rest of the pictures were taken on 3rd street. I love that place. It has wide sidewalks and gorgeous townhouses. Most of them have teeny tiny gardens out in front and the sidewalk trees have flowers growing around them. It’s lovely and one of my favorite spots for pictures.
Those little red flowers are fascinating! The variety of flowers and plants always amazes me!

It’s when I get that macro lens out that I start seeing all these little things that never registered before. Like those red flowers!
