Tulips and daffodils (and others) were in full bloom at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden last week. There’s such an incredible selection of tulips! I saw this variety with huge flowers (the red blob in the next picture).
A lot of pointy leaved tulips and one that looked almost like a cross between a tulip and a rose (didn’t get a good picture of that one).
So, while I was mainly there for the cherry blossoms, I couldn’t neglect the other flowers.
The water is from some rain we’d had during the night. We try to always get to the garden around the time it opens because it’s less crowded. By the time we finished eating lunch, the rain had dried up.
There’s this tiny hill with a gorgeous tree. Covered in daffodils (the hill, not the tree). It’s so pretty but I haven’t been able to get both the tree and flowers in a picture yet.
I’ve been thinking of getting a membership because it’s such a great spot for pictures. Maybe I’ll do that when they’ve finished their renovations…
I love reading your comments! I will try to respond to every single one.
