Oh, so this one is even older than last week’s hat! I started this shawl in December and finished in February, pictures last weekend. I swear I’ll start doing better with pictures! It’s just not the type of picture I have fun with so I keep putting it off.
Anyway.
This is the 4th installment of the 2018 Ysolda Teague club (still haven’t knit the first one). The yarn is called Laomedeia and it’s a woolly sportweight. I’m not sure of the exact blend and the Rav page for the yarn doesn’t say but it’s definitely wool. It’s kind of hard to tell in the pictures but it’s a blend of warm tomato-y red and cool pinkish red.
The pattern is Halimede. Top down triangle in garter stitch with some scallop lace accents (stripes and spine).
Pretty easy and relaxing. The combination of garter stitch with a slightly heavier yarn makes for a cozy, squishy shawl. Perfect for Winter…
I guess it’ll work for Spring too. And there’s always next Winter…
I love reading your comments! I will try to respond to every single one.
