Prospect Park

V had in person school last Monday (she goes every other Monday). After dropping her off, I went for a walk. It’s been such a struggle getting my stuff done. V needs so much supervision when she’s home that I can’t get anything done. So I try to fit everything in when she’s at school and it’s so much that I end up frozen. In an effort to at least get exercise and pictures in before the weekend, I took that walk.

I’m still hoping for birds and not seeing many. I could see them in the trees on the opposite side of the lake to me this time. I can count on the ducks at least…

I walked along the water close to the boat house. These two men who were walking a bunch of dogs seemed to be following the same path as me. I kept getting overtaken and overtaking the dogs. The dog walkers struggled keeping the dogs off the thawing ice.

I think they’re examining a turtle shell right behind that branch.

From up close, the ice fascinated me (a lot of things fascinate me; M and E frequently think I’m strange, which probably explains the admittedly adorable weirdness that is V). I wasn’t about to go get down on the ground though. It was muddy and I do the laundry. I put the camera close to the ground and tried to angle it right. I did not think to use the camera’s screen to see what I was doing…

I don’t know what I’ll do for next week with V at home for 3 days…

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
