Lightscape

Got around to editing those Brooklyn Botanic Garden Lightscape pictures yesterday. Still a bit lazy because I didn’t look up any tutorials or tips for editing night photos. I just did my best with what I know. I did not have my tripod with me. It’s so much more work to get it set up and my kids get impatient. I probably could have done some interesting long exposures with it. As it is, I used my highest ISO (32000) and widest aperture (4.0) and that gave me enough speed for hand held pictures. I was afraid the pictures would end up super grainy but they’re smoother than the ones I took on my old camera even though I used a higher ISO than I had available on that one.

Skies were cloudy which makes them look lighter. I think the clouds reflect the city’s lights or something.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
