Lazy Friday

V had a half day on Friday and a big school project to work on (a big poster about the battle of Antietam). I thought I’d be able to get a few good portraits of her. Except I had a fever the night before and was a little out of it. Spent most of the day in bed and saved my energy for helping her tea stain some paper for her project. Oh, also showed her how to rip paper in a straight line to give it that vintage edge. I had my camera with me and used it to get pictures of whatever I could (so cat, prism, and prism’s rainbows on the wall). Then, on Saturday, since there were fewer pictures to edit, I messed around with the presets and color curves a little. I prefer keeping my edits on the natural side but I’d eventually like to explore more dramatic effects.

Creative mommy at home to two wonderful little girls, trying to juggle family, sewing, exercise, family, knitting, photography, and did I mention family?
