I need to get into more of a picture taking habit. As it is, I ended up on Sunday with nothing. Chipmunks or squirrels or something ate the bulbs we’d put in planters on the roof so no flowers up there. And it was a rainy day. I was about to give myself permission to skip this week. I mean, I’ve done rainy pictures out the window and the cat refuses to give me anything other than his usual face. So I had nothing new. I still took a picture of the cat and 4 pictures of the same bird outside the window. And I messed around with the presets in Lightroom. Do I remember which ones I used? Nope. The one for the cat was in the vintage category and the ones for the birds were in the auto+retro category. What I can say is that they weren’t very dramatic. I still prefer a more natural edit to my pictures… And I did go and added more modifications afterwards such as more texture. It really brings out the fur and feathers.
